STRUCTURE AND FORM OF RELEASE

1 tablet contains 144 mg of Pyrantelum of an embonat and 50 mg of a prazikvantel. Pratel represents tablets of light yellow color, a round form with slanted edges and a crosswise notch on the one hand. Package in blisters 10 tablets which put on 1 blister or 10 blisters in cardboard boxes.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

The praziquantel and Pyrantelum show a synergism of action and in a complex possess a wide range of anthelmintic action on larval and puberal forms of nematodes and cestodes, including Toxocara canis, Toxocara cati, Toxascaris leonina, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum, Hydatigera taeniaeformis, Dipylidium caninum, Echinococcus spp., Taenia spp., Mesocestoides spp. The praziquantel affects tape-worms (cestodes). Initially it causes the muscular excitement leading to spastic paralysis of muscles of a parasite. It leads to vacuolation of membranes of cells of helminth that gives the chance to intestinal enzymes to affect a parasite, causing his death. The praziquantel is well soaked up from a gastrointestinal tract, in an organism is exposed to biotransformation and is removed with urine and a stake. Pyrantelum is active concerning gastrointestinal nematodes. INDICATIONS

Nematodoses and tsestodoza at dogs and cats.

DOSES AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION

Tablets set inside entirely or in the shattered view with a forage or is forced on a language root in the following doses: to kittens and dogs weighing up to 2 kg — ¼ tablets, to cats and dogs weighing from 2 to 5 kg — ½ tablets, to dogs weighing from 5 to 10 kg — 1 tablet, to dogs weighing from 10 to 20 kg — 2 tablets, to dogs weighing from 20 to 30 kg — 3 tablets, to dogs weighing from 30 to 40 kg — 4 tablets, to dogs weighing from 40 to 50 kg — 5 tablets. The drug is administered once. It is necessary to watch palatability of an antigelmintik. Pratel can apply puppies and kittens since 30-day age. With the preventive purpose and in order to avoid infection with helminths of people (especially children) 3 – 4 times a year, and also before vaccination and in 2 – 4 weeks prior to the expected term of knitting are recommended to carry out deworming of dogs and cats.
