Flunixin Injection 50
Flunixin Injection solution is a NSAID indicated for the control of pyrexia associated with bovine respiratory disease (BRD) in beef cattle.
Flunixin is also commonly used in dairy cattle to reduce inflammation caused by endotoxemia and acute bovine mastitis.
In horses, Flunixin is recommended for the alleviation of inflammation and pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders.
Treatment Dose Recommendations:
Cattle
For pyrexia and endotoxemia - 1 to 2 mL per 100 lbs.
For acute bovine mastitis - 2 mL per 100 lbs.
Horses
For musculoskeletal disorders - 1 mL/100 lbs.
Flunixin injectable solution has a four day pre-slaughter withdrawal time. Milk that has been taken during treatment and for 36 hours after the last treatment must not be used for food. Not for use in dry dairy cows or on calves to be processed for veal. Do not use in bulls intended for breeding.
