🩸 What is Eliquis used for?

• Preventing stroke and blood clots in people with atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat)

• Treatment and prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE)

• After hip or knee replacement surgery to reduce risk of blood clots

💊 Dosage & Administration

• Common dose: 5 mg twice daily

• Sometimes lower doses (2.5 mg twice daily) are used based on patient risk factors

• Taken orally, with or without food
