Formulation
Amoxicillin (as trihydrate) 100 mg, colistin sulfate 250,000 IU, excipients q.s.ad. 1 mL

Indications
Amoxycol® IS is an bactericidal antibiotic association -synergic with broad spectrum- for its administration by injection. It is indicated for the prevention and treatment of a large number of infections in the main domestic species. Amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum semisynthetic penicillin, which exerts its action by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall. Its action includes both Gram (+) and Gram (-) bacteria. Colistin is a cyclic polypeptide (polymyxin), which exerts an antibiotic effect by disorganizing the bacterial membrane, with the release of intracelular material.

Dosage and Administration
Intramuscular route. Large animals and dogs: 1 mL/10 Kg (10 mg Amoxicillin/Kg and 25 000 IU/kg colistin) per day (this dose can be administered in a single dose or divided into two applications per day) for 3-5 days. Birds: 0.2 mL/kg for 3 days.
