ACIBUFF is a completely natural rumen buffer with a superior stomachic action. It contains from calcified seaweed (Lithothamnium calcareum) along with Solid State Fermented (SSF) yeast, which neutralizes excess lactic acid produced in rumen (due to sudden high feeding of concentrates) leading to a more stable and protective rumen environment.The seaweed used in ACIDBUFF is obtained from the deep seabed in a non-polluted part of the Atlantic Ocean far off coast of Ireland.It naturally contains very high levels of calcium (30%), magnesium (5.5%) and 60 other trace minerals, all of which are highly bioavailable to the animal.The honeycomb-like structure of the seaweed, makes exceptionally porous with a very large surface area. This makes effective and rapid absorption of excess lactic acid in the rumen.
